Do we use a piercing gun?

Piercing with hollow sharp needles makes a nice and clean cut, resulting in less pain and better healing.
A gun should never be used for any body or facial piercings. Piercing guns are inaccurate, more painful and less safe than properly sterilized disposable piercing needles. Gun "shoots" a hole through the ear with the jewelry. These studs are often too tight on the skin, especially since the pierced skin usually swells up a bit during the healing process. (One size does not fit all). The pierced skin is squeezed between the stud and it’s lock. Piercing cannot breathe, which makes the healing process longer than necessary.
This may also cause an infection. One often gets a lumpy scar tissue (keloid) around a piercing, especially on pierced cartilage, as the tissue is torn up. It is quite impossible to properly sterilized piercing guns. Generally just the studs are sterilized, but not the tool itself. Guns carry a risk of contamination by hepatitis virus or many other possible nasty germs, which you do not want in your piercing.
