General info:
Swimming:
We recommend avoiding swimming in pools during first month of healing.
If you want to swim in pools, you can cover new piercings with watertight plaster.
Wash your piercings with soap and fresh water in shower after swimming.
Swimming in clean salty ocean water can be done at once, it usually helps healing.
Sun:
Sunbathing is fine for piercing, so enjoy all the sunshine you can get.
(In Norway you cannot get too much of it.)
UV-B activates your D-vitamin production, which is generally great for your health.
Jewelry Sizing & Insertion:
When you buy jewelry from us, as free service, we always insert it in place for you.
It is important to make sure that its size actually fits your body perfectly.
Change must be done hygienically.
Jewelry shall always be sterilized before it goes into any piercings.
We do not help inserting or taking out jewelry bought elsewhere.
We are not in business of measuring piercings for you
so that you could go and buy jewelry from other shops.
You need to know more than just a mm. length size to successfully buy correctly fitting jewelry.
The design model, total shape, size, form, material quality and hygiene
are also needs to be correct when you insert new jewelry.
Borrowing used jewelry from friends is generally bad idea.
Buying jewelry for your beloved as gift, is a beautiful idea,
but if the size is not just right,
it may ruin the whole piercing and cause more problems than joy.
We recommend "gift cards" instead.
Chewing gum:
Should be avoided during first months of healing of all oral
and tragus piercings.
Chewing gum moves mouth & tragus constantly
and is likely to cause irritated lumps.
Smoking, chewing tobacco & snuff (snus):
Tobacco (as any poison) does slow down the healing of your piercings.
Especially first 2 hours after oral (=mouth) piercings,
we recommend that you avoid tobacco completely.
If you are not able to quit the addiction all together yet,
try to smoke & use chewing tobacco as seldom as you can.
